Privacy policy

The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the legal provisions (GDPR, TCL 2003). In this data protection information, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within the scope of our website.

Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your terminal device with the help of the browser. They do not cause any damage. We use cookies to make our offer user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. They enable us to recognize your browser on your next visit.

The use of cookies is neither legally nor contractually required. The legal basis for the use is only the consent given by you for this purpose. You can revoke the consent given to us for the use of cookies at any time without giving reasons. However, you can also set up your browser so that it informs you about the setting of cookies and you only allow this in individual cases. When deactivating cookies, the functionality of our website may be limited.

Cookies

We use cookies. Some are necessary, others help us improve the website and your experience. You can edit the settings at any time under Privacy Notes .

Web analysis

Our website uses features of the Matomo web analytics service from Innocraft, based in New Zealand. Cookies are used to enable an analysis of the use of the website by its users. The information thus generated is transferred to a server of the "Land-, forst- und wasserwirtschaftliches Rechenzentrum GmbH" in Vienna and stored there. You can prevent this by changing your browser settings so that no cookies are stored. Your IP address is recorded, but immediately pseudonymized by deleting the last 8 bits. This means that only a rough localization is possible afterwards.

We have concluded a corresponding contract for order data processing with the provider. Our processor also ensures the security of your data through suitable and state-of-the-art technical and organizational measures. Our partner is not permitted to use the personal data provided for purposes other than those for which it was provided.

Server logs

The server logs are stored to enable checking the system security, to technically administer the websites, as well as to enable optimising the offer. This data will - should there have been a hack attack - be passed on to the law enforcement authorities. Any further disclosure to third parties does not take place. The server logs are stored for a maximum of 90 days.

Following server logs are stored: The IP address of the requesting computer, together with the date, time, request, which file is requested (name and URL), what amount of data is transferred to you, a message whether the request was successful, identification data of the browser and operating system used, as well as the website from which the access was gained (if the access was made via a link)

Newsletter

You have the possibility to subscribe to our newsletter via our website. For this we need your e-mail address and your declaration that you agree to receive the newsletter. In order to provide you with targeted information, we also collect and process details about your organization as well as contact information such as your name and telephone number.

You can cancel your subscription to the newsletter at any time. Please send your cancellation to the following e-mail address: newsletter(at)bbg.gv.at or use our online unsubscribe option. We will then immediately delete your data in connection with the newsletter dispatch. You will find another unsubscribe option at the end of each newsletter sent.

The newsletter is sent by mailworx (eworx Network & Internet GmbH; Hafenstraße 2a, Linz (Austria)), hereinafter referred to as the "dispatch service provider". You can view the data protection provisions of the dispatch service provider here: www.eworx.at/de/mailworx/en/.

Statistical collection and analyses:

The newsletter contains a so-called "web beacon", i.e., a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from the server of the dispatch service provider when the newsletter is opened. Within the scope of this retrieval, technical information, such as information about the browser and your system, as well as your IP address and the time of the retrieval are initially collected. This information is used for the technical improvement of the services based on the technical data or the target groups and their reading behavior based on their retrieval locations (which can be determined with the help of the IP address) or the access times. Statistical surveys also include determining whether the newsletter is opened, when it is opened, which links are clicked and for how long the links are open. For technical reasons, this information can be assigned to individual newsletter recipients. However, it is neither our intention nor that of our dispatch service provider to observe individual users. Rather, we use the analyses to identify the reading habits of our users and to adapt our content to them or to send different content according to the interests of our users.

The use of the dispatch service provider, the performance of the statistical surveys and analyses, and the logging of the registration process are carried out based on our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO. Our interest is directed towards the use of a user-friendly and secure newsletter system that serves our business interests and meets the expectations of users.

Your rights

We would also like to inform you of the following rights to which you are entitled as a data subject under the GDPR with regard to your personal data:

These are the rights to information, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, revocation, and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or your data protection rights have otherwise been violated in any way, please contact us (vergabekompetenzcenter(at)bbg.gv.at). However, you can also complain to the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the data protection authority.

Our data protection officer is Ms. Kraft-Kinz.

If you have any questions about data protection, please contact vergabekompetenzcenter(at)bbg.gv.at.
