Facts & figures about the FPA

The FPA currently holds 1145 contracts with 664 suppliers in 12 product families.
1004 customer agreements: 738 with provinces and townships, 211 with outsourced companies, 28 health organisations, 27 universities
Every year the customers are asked about their satisfaction with the FPA. In 2009, the customers rated the FPA with a note of 1.82 (1 = best mark, 5 = worst mark).
2009 the procurement volume reached 869 Million Euro. Since the establishment of the FPA in 2001 a total of 5 Billion Euro was procured by the FPA.
2009 the savings by procurements through the FPA were 191 Million Euro. Since 2001 the savings come to a total of 896.3 Million Euro.
In 2009 the FPA executed 152 tendering procedures, of which only one was set as invalid by the Federal Public Procurement Office. Since 2001 the FPA executed 981 procedures, of which only eight were set as invalid.
Most of the tendering procedures are scheduled by NUTS-3-regions that ease the participation for small and medium-sized companies. In 2009 74 percent of the suppliers were small and medium-sized companies, only 26 percent were big businesses.
